Herminia Catalina Brumana (Pigüé, September 12, 1897-Buenos Aires, January 9, 1954) was a teacher, educator, writer, journalist, playwright and Argentine activist, of socialist and anarchist ideas. He wrote nine books and eleven plays, three of them released. She collaborated in the Argentine world, home and the nation, among other periodic publications. She actively participated in both the anarchist and socialist ranks, although her ideas were closer to anarchism and she considered Rafael Barret's disciple.

Herminia Brumana was born in Pigüé, a town located south of the province of Buenos Aires, on September 12, 1897, in a family of Italian immigrants. She conducted her secondary studies at the Normal School of Olavarría where she received in 1916, returning to Pigüé to exercise the position of primary teacher in her hometown.

In 1917 he founded Pigüé magazine and in 1918 he published his first book, aimed at promoting reading among his students, words. In 1921 she met the socialist leader Juan Antonio Solari with whom she married and settled in Buenos Aires.
